The interhouse softball program got underway yesterday when a hard hitting Leverett ten crushed Winthrop by a top-heavy 11 to 2 score in a wild 5 1/2 inning circus.
High winds reinforced the drives of Leverett sluggers to swell the final tally. Leverett placed third in last spring's competition, and yesterday's game gave a formidable prevue of Bunnie power. Dudley and Dunster will meet today, while Kirkland and Lowell battle Friday. Lack of team support by House members is slowing up the program.
