Union debaters will move out of their Chess Room home grounds on Quincy Street and invade neighboring areas shortly, when the Yard's Debating Society completes current negotiations for inter-school contests against teams within a 30-mile radius.
Following an organizational meeting two weeks ago, the group, which now boasts 40 members, began a series of weekly intra-society debates on Wednesdays at 7:30 o'clock. The first session took place Wednesday, when craters tackled the problem of military conscription.
Werner Pieus '51 is the newly-elected secretary of the Society. He is assisted by Dimitri d'Arbeloff '51. Graduate Advisers are William Reeb '44 21, and Frank L. Broderick 2G.
