Twenty student organizations at Radcliffe will get a financial boost this week when the receipts of yesterday's traditional Pay Day, estimated at $6000, are added up and distributed to undergraduate groups.
According to a unique Annex custom, students pay off all their extra-curricular financial obligations at once, placing the necessary amount in an envelope and noting to which organizations it is to be allocated. The last envelopes reached the Student Government yesterday, according to Treasurer Luretta Davis, Radcliffe '49.
Basic Pay Day amount, required of every 'Clifieldweller, is $5.75--$2.00 for Student Government, $2.00 for class dues, and $1.75 for a compulsory subscription to the Radcliffe News. Actually, the average student contribution to organizational coffers is something over $6.50, since 15 clubs and 'Idler' levy additional taxes on their memberships.
Final figures on the grand total and amounts drawn by each activity will emanate from Agassiz Hall today, Miss Davis said last night. During the week, students will assist the Radcliffe secretarial staff in counting and distributing the money.
