Seven Crimson Teams Meet Dartmouth Today

Undefeated Swimmers Face Potent Green As Clear Underdogs

Good warmup for the Yale encounter is the way Captain Martin Anderholm sums up the attitude of his Dartmouth swimmers towards the Crimson opponent they will meet tonight at 9 o'clock in the Indoor Athletic Building pool.

Raising the curtain on a preliminary skirmish, the Yardlings will take on a combined Jayvee and Freshman invasion from Dartmouth at 7:45 o'clock.

Both Green and Crimson outfits will defend unsmirched Intercollegiate records tonight, and both are flush from defeating Navy on consecutive evenings last weekend. The Middles scored two more points opposing Ulen's men than against Karl Michael's Hanoverians.

Distance Events Important

As in the Annapolis clash distance events will play into Ulen's hands, with the Varsity's Jerry German certain to leave the confident Anderholm puffing astern in the 220 and 440 yard freestyles.

The Crimson's Chuck Hoelzer will have the toughest assignment against Dartmouth's champ breast stroker, Jay Urstadt, and if he and freestyler Roland Higgins enter the medley, the Crimson is sure to start the fight five points behind.

Dana Jackson and Hank Dodd of the Green will probably be able to relax in the back stroke. But home rooters can look to divers Bob Aaron and Tommy Drohan, who were seperated from each other by .04 of a point against Navy, to repeat this sweep in the dive.

Dartmouth kept ace freestyleer Dick Hartung in the hole against Navy, but he will be played against the Crimson tonight.
