Lavelli at Top of EIL Race with 175 Points
Tony Lavelli's 32-point scoring spree against the Crimson basketball team enabled the Yale center to pass George Hanptfuhrer and three others and noize the lead in the torrid Eastern Intercollegiate League scoring race with a total of 175 points in 11 games.
Only two points behind Lavelli with 173 is Columbia's Walt Budko, while Dartmouth's Ed Leode is third with 172. In the number four slot is Penn's "Chink" Crossin, while tied for number five in the league standings are Hauptfuhrer and George Lawry of Princeton.
