Lacrosse Squad Seeks Initial Victory Today

Coach Bob Maddux will lead what he hopes is a resurgent Varsity lacrosse team north to Medford this afternoon to meet last year's New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse League champions.

In an attempt to gain its first league victory, Harvard will start the same lineup that saw action last week against Dartmouth. At the same time the Freshmen will play Andover.

Most of last year's Trophy winning Tufts team has gone the way of naval trainees and other wartime bonanzas on this peacetime sports scene and the calibre of the Jumbo's play so far this season has shown the effects of the depletion. However still smarting from last week's Dartmouth defeat, the Crimson is not underestimating the opposition.
