Rumor of Fix as Wellesley Twice Postpones Hoop Race

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Rain, mud, and a girl's natural reluctance to get her feet wet combined this morning to scratch the tradition infested Wellesley hoop race for the third consecutive day.

Legend and the mating instinct have it that the winner of the hoopla will be the first to abandon the primrose path for the middle aisle.

Girls already engaged will substitute baby carriages for the conventional hoops with she who bears away the blue ribbon being the first to bear. The dean's office had no comment on its girls laboring in this manner.

Consuela Schnook '50 was heard to say, "In this weather a girl would have to be a mudder to win."
