LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
The reign of evening silence in the Yard will end almost before it begins tomorrow when 150-able-throated members of the University Glee Club sound forth at 7 o'clock to renew the traditional series of spring concerts on the Widener steps.
G. Wallace Woodworth '24 will lead the chorus through a variety of offerings, covering the whole scope of the year's Glee Club activities, which may range from sixteenth century motifs to modern pieces in the lighter vein. "Casey Jones," familiar American railroad ballad, and "Spanish Ladies," a rollicking arrangement of an English sea chantey, will highlight the latter category.
Second Concert Scheduled
A second Yard concert is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 13. Only a heavy rain at starting time will be able to force cancellation of either event, manager E. Barr Peterson '47 has promised.
Usully limited in number by the size of the its concert environs the club will appear on masse for the first time this year in the pair of outdoor performances.
Students, professors, 'Cliffed wellers, and any stray music lovers who pass by are invited to listen, and to join the chores in singing College songs.
