Idler Still Seeks A 'Perfect Lover'

"H.T.W. may be searching for lips and hips, but we want Paris," Mrs. Mary Manning Howe, Idler theatrical director, announced yesterday.

Casting for the December 4 production of Congreve's "Way of the World" has been temporarily halted until a smooth Paris is uncovered.

Mrs. Howe guaranteed beautiful leading ladies and an impressionistic musical backdrop, composed and conducted by Nicholas Van Slyck 1G, director of the Harvard Chamber Music Orchestra.

Four of the six male parts have already been cast, and Thursday tryouts in Agassiz Theater turned up another five possible Mirabels.

"We're searching for the perfect lover," Mrs. Howe added. "If Harvard fails to produce, we'll try B.U."

Earlier this year Idler presented two contempopary one-act plays: Tennessee Williams' "At Liberty" and Christopher Morley's "The Rehearsal." The plays appeared for a one-night stand October 19.
