Turnouts of 40 freshmen at each of the Union Debate Council's first two meetings Bode well for the success of the extensive intercollegiate schedule the Council has planned.
All members of the debating club are given a chance to compete in regular Tuesday evening debates. Each of these debates lasts half an hour, followed by a half hour question period, and their results determine the teams to take on other colleges and freshmen from other schools. The Council has scheduled a debate with Andover for December 10.
In tomorrow's meeting in the Union Upper Common Room at 7:30 p.m. the pros and cons of world government will be presented.
