Backfield coach Forrest "Butch" Jordan and line coach Davy Nelson will arrive here this afternoon from Ann Arbor, Art Vaipey said yesterday. He added that no decision has been reached on the line coach vacancy, and that spring practice will open Monday at 4 o'clock in Carpenter Hall.
Last night at the Varsity Club, Vaipey met football candidates for the first time, giving his candid opinion of where he thinks Harvard stands and also appraising the qualities he thinks players will need to make the team.
As for spring practice, that's open to "anyone in College who has a sincere desire to play football for Harvard."
