Rene Peroy's fencing team packed up and left for New York last night to prepare for the 51st annual Intercollegiate Fencing Association Championships.
Eleven teams are entered in the competition, the first hold in four years. The field contains Army, Navy, C.C.N.Y., New York University, Princeton, Rutgers, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, M.I.T., and Harvard.
Navy captured the Three Weapon Trophy back in 1943, but Peroy's men, who dropped a close one-point decision to Yale last week, are out to get the honor for the first time in the history of University fencing.
