LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
The Varsity goes against Dartmouth tonight in the Garden at 9:30 o'clock and thanks to Cousy, Kaftan, and Mullaney, the H.A.A. will pocket a quarter-share of the cash 13,000 patrons push under the box-office windows. Holy Cross meets Colgate in the crowd-drawing opener.
The shifts in Harvard's starting lineup are probable. George Hauptfuhrer was working well yesterday and will probably start at one of the forward slots. Also, Bill Brady may start at guard instead of Walt McCurdy. Lloyd Harper said last night that sometimes Walt hits better when he goes in after the game begins.
Yale Near-Perfect
Coach Bill Barclay's aide added that if the Crimson starts hitting tonight, the game may be even closer than last week's 56 to 48 loss to the Big Green at Hanover. "But they'll have to do better than they did Saturday against Yale," he said. "Of course, Yale was out of this world when a team makes 49 percent of its shots, you can't do too much about it." The Varsity meshed only 22 percent of its floor shots against the Blue and did just as poorly at the free throw line.
The Dartmouths, while they are several rungs above the Crimson on the EIL ladder, are by no means terrorizing the league.
This afternoon in the Garden at 5 o'clock, the Freshmen, with a record of 14 and 2, will play the Little Green quintet.
