Twenty Ruggers Practice in Cage

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Twenty rugby enthusiasts ran around in circles on the Briggs Cage track yesterday in the first practice session of the year.

Since only half the men had anything resembling previous experience in the sport, much of the session was devoted to instruction in the fundamentals and rules of the game. Most of the experienced players come from the Business and Law Schools, two or three being graduates of English colleges.

With Yale and Princeton already on the schedule and dickering now going on for dates with two New York clubs and the Bermuda team, the booters will continue to practice on Monday and Wednesday with ball-passing in the Blockhouse exercise room, conditioning on the track, and blackboard instruction in plays until the snow is off the turf.
