Junior Varsity baseball continued in its usual groove and Freshman baseball continued in its usual rut yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field as the Jayvees tagged Leicester with a 19 to 2 defeat while Dartmouth was taking the Yardlings for a 5 to 3 ride.

Roger Davis pitched the Jayvees to their seventh straight victory with a four-hit performance. Meanwhile, his mates belted two Leicester twirlers for 11 safeties, including two homers and a double by Steve Howe, a homer by Davis, and a double by Web Durant.

Davis struck out 14 and walked two while the visitors were helping out no end in the field with 12 (twelve) errors.

On the adjoining diamond, the Indian Freshmen bunched their six hits and helped themselves to five earned runs off starter George Emmons. Roy Meears relieved in the seventh and pitched shutout ball for two innings. Harvard scored twice in the second to take a one-run lead and again in the fourth after Dartmouth had tallied thrice in its half.
