Griffin Leaves After Uneventful Stay Here

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Eugene Griffin, Chicago Tribune correspondent who last year wrote an "expose" of alleged Communist influence at Harvard, checked out of Boston's Statler Hotel yesterday at 4:15 p.m.

Griffin made at least one visit to the University during his stay in Boston this week, reliable sources have revealed. Identity of persons he conferred with--if any--is unknown.

Dean Bender stated yesterday that Griffin had not contacted his office.
