Clouds Again Hit MGM Film; Yard Shooting Delayed

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

It was too cloudy in the Yard yesterday to film any more scenes of "Mystery Street," so Metro-Goldwn-Mayer's camera unit spent the day in and around Boston taking shots where the lack of sun didn't make any difference.

MGM had hoped to take a Legal Medicine Department scene at the Medical School as well as finishing up two more Yard scenes. The studio will try again today.

Yesterday the cameramen visited Beacon Hill and the Bunker Hill Monument, and today a second camera unit will continue on the Boston shots. Directors spent last night rewriting other Boston and Cape Cod scenes so that New England rain won't spoil plans.

When today's shooting is over, head cameraman John Alton will be the second speaker in Ivy Films' "special features" series tonight. Alton will discuss "Film Photography" in Leverett Junior Common Room in a 7:30 p.m. meeting open to all men and women.
