Union Committee Names 10 Men to Executive Board

The first Union Committee election in the history of the University wound up last night with the selection of its ten man Class of 1953 executive board.

Thomas W. Hoya of Shorewood, Wisconsn, was elected Chairman, Waverly R. Beall of Versailles, Indiana, became Treasurer, and Richard T. Povill of Brooklyn, and Paul M. Marby of Belmont, were chosen freshmen representatives to the Student Council.

Six other members of the executive board named last night are: Ernest T. Berkeley, Jr., John S. Hermann, Richard E. Johnson, Stephen I. Rudin, Daniel J. Young, and George C. Viahos.

Next Tuesday, these six will choose which of the Union activities they want to run. According to the new Union Charter, they may choose among: Crimson Key Representative, Secretary of the Union Committee, chairman of the Athletic, Dance, Freshman Activities, and Common Room Committees.
