Wrestlers Engage Dartmouth Here

Dave Smith's Return Strengthens Team's Lightweight Lineup

By Peter B. Taub

"Visitors 21, Harvard 11," the way the scoreboard looked after last week's match, has been staring Butch Jordan's wrestlers in the face all week while they were boning up for today's contest with Dartmouth. It starts at 2 p.m. on the Blockhouse mats.

Harvard will he a slight favorite, not because the scoreboard has made it work especially hard in practice, but because it is more experienced than the five sophomores and three juniors who have compiled a one and four win-loss record for Dartmouth.

Feature Match

The best individual match will come early in the afternoon. Dartmouth captain Pat Dolan, who has lost only once in the last two years and was Middle Atlantic prep school champ while at Lawrenceville, takes on flashy Dave Smith at 128 pounds.

Besides Smith's return to the lineup, the only other change in Jordan's array of muscle is Bob Abboud's jump from 128 to 136 pounds.

Louria and Ray

Tonight at the Attleboro YMCA, Don Louria (175) and Dan Ray (155) take part in the open New England A.A.U. championships, their first mat appearances since graduation.

The probable lineups: HARVARD    DARTMOUTH Kozol  121  White Smith  128  Dolan Abboud  136  Goldthorpe King  145  Rabe Skinner  155  Gilmore Thompson  165  Klett Claflin  175  Monahan Houston  Heavyweight  Rahr
