Any predictions about the outcome of the freshman basketball game at Nichols Junior College at 7:30 p.m. tonight would be pretty silly. Nobody, including Coach Lloyd Harper, knows what kind of a team the little school, tucked away in some hills near Webster, has.
Nichols beat MIT, which beat the Crimson, 45 to 42, but comparative scores are a tricky basis for sports crystal gazing.
If the freshmen play like they did Saturday night, they'll bring home their first win in the past three games. The 44 to 41 loss to Boston College last weekend was a moral victory.
BC is rated the second best freshman quintet in the East. Holy Cross is first.
Bill Borah, Bill Hickey, John Stevenson, and Jim Downey will start in their usual slots. Al Switzer will once again substitute for Jerry Murphy, who is still out with an eye injury.
