Two Sources Call Struik Anarchist

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Professor Dirk J. Struik of M.I.T. was accused of teaching the violent overthrow of the government of the United States from two quarters this week.

Herbert J. Philbrick, undercover agent for the F.B.I., testifying at the trials of eleven top Communists in New York, and Joseph B. Mathews, onetime research director of the Un-American Activities Committee brought charges before a New York court and before a Massachusetts legislative committee respectively.

Professor Struik dubbed the charges as "absolute nonsense." He admitted sympathy with some Marxist thought but denied being a professional revolutionist.
