Adams Nine Ties Lowell Team, 4-4

The Baseball Muse was so pleased with the perfect records of the Lowell and Adams teams that she couldn't bear to let either squad lose the crucial game yesterday. So she came up with this solution: Lowell 4, Adams 4.

The Bellboys laced ace hurler Roger Davis for 11 hits, but mostly when two men were out. Lowell pitcher Bayard Robb gave up two hits in 81/2 innings, then he was relieved by Jerry Dwight, who allowed two more.

In the ninth, singles by Joe Kozol and Graham Taylor broke a 2 to 2 tie and gave Adams a 4 to 2 lead. But Lowell evened the count again with singles by Bob Woodruff and Duke Gormley and a sacrifice by Fred Donahoo.

The Bellboys went on to put men on second and third, only to have Davis end the game with two strikeouts.

A triple by Lowell's Bob Capaccie and a great catch by Adams centerfielder Fred Crafts were the other highlights.

In the other game. Leverett routed Dunster, 14 to 3.
