Kenary Wavering On Chicago Offer

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Jim Kenary, defensive halfback for three years, is considering an offer to play pro football for the Chicago Bears. Yesterday afternoon the Bears drafted him in the twenty-eighth round of the first National-American Football League Draft. This merely gives the Chicago team the exclusive rights to dicker for Kenary's services.

Kenary said that his decision to play pro ball will be based upon the job situation this coming June. He said he is looking for some sort of sales position for after graduation. Kenary added that the drafting was not unexpected, since he had received a letter in December from the League, asking him about his college playing career.

Injured during the Stanford game in September, Kenary saw no action for the remainder of the season. The 1948 season also found Kenary out for most of the games.
