LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
Cornell Band executives said last night that the group has rejected plans for a pre-dawn invasion of the Yard.
"That would be kid stuff," one Big Red official said.
According to present plans, the Band will journey to Soldiers Field at 9 a.m. for drill practice. The Cornell musicians will join the Crimson for the traditional noon march through the Square, a joint meeting of the bands' officers decided last evening.
At the same time last night the Yard was quiet, though some Ithacans were wandering about the Square. Just in case the rumored invasion does take place however, it was learned some Yard residents have planned a welcome--for musicians or un-uniformed students alike.
Managers of the two Bands stated that "everything was perfectly friendly" before, and during their meeting.
