Ravreby Back In First-String End Position

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Fred Ravreby yesterday returned to the starting offensive right end position, Coach Lloyd Jordan reported following the football squad's closed practice session. He will team with sophomore Paul Crowley, with Dike Hyde and Henry Rate going defensively.

Ravreby was virtually benched after the Holy Cross game. Against Princeton, he was limited largely to kicking off.

Yesterday's workout, according to a release prepared before practice by H.A.A. tub-thumper W. Henry Johnston, "emphasized a review and brush up on each position with attention given to fundamentals, mainly blocking and tackling.

Work on Passing

"The forward passing game was also reviewed.

"Considerable time was devoted to the kicking game, with Lowenstein, O'Neil and Ray doing the punting. The covering of kicks also was worked on as well as the return of punts.

"There was no scrimmage except on the punting drill, and that was confined to the varsity squad. Scrimmage for the week was concluded on Wednesday."

Jordan added that the varsity spent a good deal of time working out defenses against the Brown running and passing offense as set up by the jayvees in a non-contact session.
