Dunster Quintet Edged by Lowell; B League Locked

In a tight, low-scoring contest at the Indoor Athletic Building yesterday, Lowell's A League basketball team edged Dunster, 21 to 20. In earlier B League games, Kirkland and Dunster moved past Adams into a first-place tie by defeating Leverett and Lowell, respectively, 36 to 24 and 34 to 32.

In the upper league, the Funsters pulled away to a 9 to 6 halftime lead, but a Lowell rally, led by Chris May and Jim Downey, pulled the game out for the Bellboys.

Leverett, Adams Fall

Leverett was dropped out of the second place B League tie when Kirkland, showing a strong zone defense, turned a 19-19 half-time tie into a rout. Dunster knocked Adams out of first place when Bob Hart tossed in a basket with ten seconds to play.

A House hockey league game scheduled for the Skating Club yesterday morning between Kirkland and Adams, had to be postponed because the freshman sextet was using the ice for practice. The contest will be played on March 15 or 16.
