Yale Survey of Government Leaks Withheld as Valuable to Russians

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yale University's survey of security leaks from government offices to the press is being held in a confidential status, officials have announced. It will be kept from the public so that Russia will not have an evaluation of the amount of military secrets that have been released. According to President Truman, close to 95 percent of all information classified as secret has been given to the press.

The Yale group worked without any list of the government secrets. They were told to act like Russian agents and investigate all press and government publications.

Besides all press publications, they studied the professional journals of the chemical and engineering industries, and all data published on the strength, location, and quality of the nation's armed forces.
