Radcliffe Council Debates Election Eligibility Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Representatives of the opposing factions of the Radcliffe Student Council drafted a compromise ruling on the eligibility question last night. They will present the amendment to an open Council meeting this afternoon at 4 p.m.

The compromise proposes that students running for offices elected by the entire student body must be in Group V or above with no exceptions. Students below Group V however, may run for offices not elected by the whole college, if they get permission from the dean.

The Council will recommend to the dean factors to be considered in deciding a girl's eligibility.

The official list of nominations which are publicly posted will state that such students are runing only with permission of the dean.
