The National champion varsity squash team goes after its first victory over Yale since before the last war this afternoon when it meets the Eli varsity at 3:30 at Hemenway Gym.
The freshman squad, state 'C' League champions, take on the Eli yearlings at 2 p.m. on the same courts.
Both Coach Jack Barnaby's varsity and Coach Corey Wynn's Yardlings are undefeated so far this season. Barnaby's squad has a spotless 10-0 record, and Wynn's yearlings have taken eight straight. The Eli varsity, however, has won nine out of ten this season, and Barnaby stated yesterday that he expects a "very tough fight."
The one Bulldog loss was a 5 to 4 defeat by Williams, who had previously dropped an 8 to 1 decision to the Crimson. The Eli yearlings are also strong, with a perfect 7-0 record this year. Tentative Crimson lineup for the match follows: Captain Henry Foster, Hugh Nawn, Charlie Ufford, Joe Clark, Jim Bacon, Dave Watts, Sam Hoar, Dave Symmes, Johangir Mugaseth.
