Golf Team Treks South on Annual Jaunt to Virginia

Six members of the Crimson golf team left Cambridge this morning for the team's annual spring vacation jaunt south to White Sulphur Springs, Virginia. There they will play two matches, April 9 and 10, with Washington and Lee and Ohio Universities.

The men who accompanied newly appointed Coach Frank E. Richart, assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering, were Doug Wilde, captain, Dave Gorman, Dusty Burke, Mitch Rosenholiz, Carl Timpson, and Dave Hedberg.

Elliminations of candidates for the freshman and varsity teams will begin shortly after vacation on a Dodham golf course.

The team's regular season will begin April 23, when M.I.T. is scheduled to meet the Crimson. Twelve matches in all are programmed for April and May. The Eastern Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship matches will be held at New Haven this year. The Yale match will be on the squad's home course, May 5.
