A spilt was all the varsity golf team earned in its matches over the weekend at Amherst and Dartmouth. The Crimson golfers beat the Lord Jeffs, 4 to 3, on Friday, but lost to the Indians, 5 to 2, on Saturday. The Yardlings also lost to the Dartmouth freshmen, 8 to 1, Saturday at Hanover.
Bill Timpson, playing seventh, won his matches for the varsity on both days. Dusty Burke at one, Captain Doug Wilde at three, and Mitch Rosenholtz at six were the other winners against Amherst, while Dave Gorman defeated the number four man at Dartmouth.
