Richard M. Goodwin, assistant professor of Economics, has accepted a post at Cambridge University for next year, and at least 30 of his students think Harvard "missed the beat" by not reappointing him.

Thirty undergraduates and graduate students honored Goodwin with a cocktail party and dinner last night in the Graduate Center. "He's the best teacher I've ever had," Nicholas A. Beadles 8G said yesterday; "his going will be a great loss to the University.
