Civil Liberties Fund Nets $7,600 So Far

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Contributions to the 1952 Civil Liberties Appeal have reached $7,600 and are still coming in. Appeal director Lloyd I. Rudolph '48, teaching fellow in Government, said last night that this sum already exceeds the total collected in the 1950 Appeal by over $800.

Terming the response "magnificent," Rudoph predicted that final returns would pass $10,000. Rudolph said the money collected has already been mailed to the candidates, Thomas Fairchild of Wisconsin, Gov. Henry F. Schricker of Indians, and Sen. William Benton of Connecticut.

Over 500 persons have mailed checks to Appeal signer Arthur M. Schlesinger, Henry Lee Higginson Professor of History.
