After less than three months in their new positions, the eight Senior Tutors are preparing a report to the Faculty which may bring about some revisions in the new tutorial system, it was learned yesterday.
The report will be presented to the faculty some time in February.
Concurrently, William H. McLain, Senior Tutor of Dunster House and assistant professor of German, announced he will leave the University before the spring term to lecture at Johns Hopkins University, where he hopes to get a permanent appointment in the German department.
McLain said his successor at Dunster House has not been chosen, adding, "My resignation is not at all connected with my position as Senior Tutor."
At the University, McClain teaches two literature courses in the German department, and one course in Comparative Literature. As a visiting lecturer at Johns Hopkins he is scheduled to conduct a seminar in 19th century German realism and two courses in modern and classical German literature.
