Play opened yesterday in the first postwar All-University Squash Tournament, in accordance with the schedule drawn up by Jack Barnaby, varsity coach and director of the tournament.
Barnaby has seeded the top 16 players in an effort to prevent a first-round meeting of the best players. Hugh Nawn, key player on last year's national championship team is needed first, Charley Ufford, Number One man this year, is seeded second, with Hugh Scott, formerly of Princeton and one-time State Class C titlist, third.
Crimson Captain Jim Bacon is seeded fourth, and Dave Watts, power-hitting left-handed junior, is fifth.
