Robert L. Fischelis '49, Non-Residents' Graduate Secretary, announced Friday the "unqualified success" of two Dudley Hall experimental programs, and added that both will be continued on a permanent basis.
One program allows commuters to use their Center until ten o'clock on Tuesday and Thursday nights, while the other involves inter-House dining hall privileges for Dudley similar to those in the Houses.
Fischelis commented that the new closing hour has come after repeated demands by commuters for a place of their own to study and gather. He reported that the Center has been kept open on Tuesday and Thursday nights for the last three weeks, and that the non-residents have put it to "extensive use."
Dudley's inter-House program has enabled many students from other Houses to eat coupon-free weekday lunches as guests of member Non-residents. Fischelis believes that the plan provides a good chance for commuters and residents to get to know one another.
