Starting next fall, Princetonians will have to make their own beds and keep their own rooms in order.

Princeton is dispensing with janitorial room service to prevent an expected average increase in room rentals of $30 a man, George A. Brakely, vice-president and treasurer of the university, announced yesterday. The Undergraduate Council, student government organization, has given the proposal unanimous approval and support.

Janitors will continue to clean dormitory corridors and stairways, dispose of trash, and clean lavatories, but students will handle other jobs previously done by the janitors.
