Crimson golfers tee off in the first tournament of the 1952 season this afternoon in the New England intercollegiate Golf Championships at the Oakley Country Club. But because of a conflict with the Eastern Intercollegiate tournament opening Saturday in Annapolls, Coach Frank Richart cannot send his top men to the local meet.

Players going to the Oakley meet are Dave Hedberg, Bill Bridges, Bill Rydell, and John Sears. The tourney starts with an 18 hole qualifier that will eliminate all but the top 16 players. The team champion will be decided from the qualifying scores.
