Judge Sets Fine In Obscene Calls

One freshman was convicted and another acquitted on charges of "annoying a person of the opposite sex with obscene language" in Somerville District Court Wednesday.

Judge Charles S. Gadaby '22 fined Peter A. Stern $250. He appealed and was released in $25 ball.

Edward J. MrKonich, who was arrested with Stern in Somerville two weeks ago, was acquitted Julio Camacho had identified the voices of the two students, as those who had called his home several times during the past few months and made insulting remarks to his wife and daughter.

In handing down his decrees. Judge Gadsby said "Draft exempt Harvard University students should be disillusioned and made to realize that they are permitted to go to college to study."
