Runners Look for Third Win Versus Weak Boston College

Coach Bill McCurdy sends his track team out for another conquest of local talent at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow when the Crimson takes on Boston College at Briggs Cage. The trackmen will be after their third straight win, having already defeated Boston University and the University of Rhode Island.

The Yardlings will also encounter the Eaglets in a meet runoff simultaneously with the varsity. The Crimson freshmen so far have defeated Boston University, but this will be their first contest with the Eagles.

The varsity picture looks like the Crimson's depth will tell the story. Like other opponents, B.C. has some outstanding performers but none of the Crimson's overall strength. The only question, according to McCurdy is whether the Crimson's two week vacation coupled with several minor injuries will knock performances down enough to make the meet close.

The big stars for B.C. are Pat Lachiatto, an all around man who enters the high jump, broad jump, hurdles, and dash, and John McAllister, another dash-man.

The Crimson's Bob Curran has shown exceptionally well during workouts in the hammer this week, but sustained a minor injury yesterday. He will probably be able to compete tomorrow.
