P.B.H. Sends 600 Books To German Students

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Over 600 books--now waiting in the basement of Phillips Brooks House--leave Monday for New York and eventually Europe, bound for students in German schools and universities.

As part of 1500 books in P.B.H.'s old book collection gathered over three years, they are being distributed around the world. Packages soon will go out to several Far Eastern countries. P.B.H. plans to distribute another group to the Charlestown Prison and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Since the German schools have an overflow of scientific texts and want books written in English, Monday's shipment contains a majority of texts on economics, history, and literature, and nothing on language or the sciences.

Once the books reach New York, the German Students' Union, headed by Klaus Dehio, will arrange for their direct shipment to Europe.
