Skiers Lose Captain In Weekend Mishap

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Varsity skier have come home from New Hampshire primed for next Saturday's competition in the Lyndonville junior divisionals--but minus the services of one of their co-captains.

The ski team has been gunning for the Lyndonville championship all year long and if it gains a win there, will be eligible to compete in the senior division at the Middlebury Carnival, the year's skiing highlight.

Unfortunately, Neil Dixon, who shares the captaincy with Steve Reynolds, dislocated his shoulder during practice at Putney and will probably be out for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, the freshman skiers placed second out of four teams competing at Putney. Jack Vohr and Pete Churchill excelled in the distance jumping, placing first and second respectively.
