Barrow Awarded Fay Prize For Scholarship, Character

Nancy Barrow of Manhasset, L. I., has been awarded the Captain Jonathan Fay Prize for the member of the class who "by scholarship, conduct and character has shown evidence of the greatest promise."

The prize is worth $710. Miss Barrow, who graduated magna cum laude, was president of the Student Government Association and made Phi Beta Kappa in her junior year.

Mrs Margery Williams Adams of Worcester was awarded the Catherine I. Wilby prize--given each year for the best original work in any department. Mrs. Adams received her Ph.D. this morning.
