University Business and Medical schools have awarded students a total of $640,750 in financial aid this year, a decrease of $55,000 from the total awarded for 1953-54.
The actual decrease is in the total awarded by the Business School, and may be made up by additional grants after mid-years. The $467,000 awarded so far is $65,000 less than last year's total. But prizes or higher marks, which allow more students to receive aid, normally increase the amount later in the year.
The Medical school so far has given $173,750 in aid, an increase of $10,000 ever 1953-54.
