Finley Offers Plan For Catching Thief

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

University officials, worried by the recent wave of theft in College dormitories, have been waging an all-out campaign against the prowler--but none has devised as novel a technique as that suggested by John H. Finley, Jr. '25, Master of Eliot House.

An official warning, posted throughout most of the houses, advised students to keep an eye out for a sharp-featured stranger who might enter their rooms on "one pretext or another" in the early morning hours.

The Finley version, posted in Eliot House, warned of the thefts and continued: "You are urged by the University Police to tackle any such intruder, detain him, and call the police--after which you may go back to bed."
