Rain didn't hamper the varsity golf team yesterday. The golfers, playing on a wet course at Dedham Country Club, walloped Holy Cross, 6 to 1.

The only decisive winner for the varsity yesterday was Pete Malkin, number seven man, who won 6 and 5. Number one man Ted Cooney won 2 up. Bill McAllister posted a 4 and 3 victory, while Bruce Thurmond, Jim Jones, and Captain Jack Brophy also won for the varsity.

Doug Boyd was the varsity's only loser, dropping his match one down on the eighteenth.

The freshmen play their second match of the season today at South Byfield against Governor Dummer.
