Missing seven of last year's starting team due to graduation, the varsity squash team opens its intercollegiate season against Dartmouth Saturday afternoon in Hemenway. The freshman team also plays, with both matches starting at 2 p.m.
Crimson coach Jack Barnaby, who has never lost a regular match to the Green, calls this a "brand new team." Led by returnees Guy Paschal and Captain Bill Wister, and sophomore Ben Heckscher, "the team lacks experience," Barnaby says, but he has been tremendously pleased by its spirit.
Except for one possible change, in the number eight spot, where Grayson Murphy, who may not be completely recovered from the measles, this is the lineup that will face the Green; 1, Heckscher; 2, Paschal; 3, Wister (C); 4, Bob Brown; 5, Cal Place; 6, Bancroft Wheeler 7, Pete Milton; 8, Murphy or Roger Cortes; 9, Martin Heckscher.
