Eleven Readies for Columbia Game

Guard Ted Metropoulos, an outstanding player in last week's Corsell game, may be misuing from the starting lineup when the varsity meets Columbia on the Lions' Baker Field tomorrow.

Metropoulon is sidelined with a charley-horse. Coach Lloyd Jordan said after yesterday's practice that he wouldn't know until today or tomorrow whether "Metro" would be ready for action.

"If he isn't ready, I'm not sure yet who I'll use in his place." Jordan said. In yesterday's practice, senior Ed Bosen only recently converted from tackle, moved into Metropoulos' spot on the strong side of the line.

Tailbacks Jim Joslin and Walt Stakurn are "still not in good enough shape to play 60 minutes of football" because of minor injuries, Jordan added. Dixter Lewis, one of the best pass catchers on the team for the last two years, will be ready for sport duty if needed, Jordan said.
