SINGING GUSTO

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

I should like to comment on what seems to me to be a lack of responsibility on the part of the Harvard cheerleaders. At the Dartmouth game the Band had to sit at one end of the stands where it was practically impossible for the cheering section to figure out what song they were playing. The cheerleaders, as usual, made a weak effort to lead singing by waving their arms half-heartedly. They gave no indication of what we were supposed to be singing.

This is not now. It happens every game. . . How can the cheerleaders expect us to sing if they do not set the example and lead us, telling us what the song is and helping us to recall the words. . . Robert H. Easton '58
