Yardlings Post 15-46 Win; Martin Win Paces Victory

In the Yardling meet, Ed Martin knocked 13 seconds off his winning time in the triangulars, to lead the freshmen in a sweep. Martin led from the start of the race and finished nearly 200 yards ahead of teammate Wes Hildreth. Martin's time was 15 minutes, 1 second.

Dane Oliver finished third, nearly 100 yards behind Hildreth, barely outracing teammate Dave Call. Gary Brooten completed the scoring for the Yardlings, although the sixth and seventh finishers, Dave Donaldson and Henry Marcy added to the Providence score by the process of displacement.
